The Encraft Renewables Portfolio Assessment Tool (RPAT) is a quick and easy way for organisations with large numbers of sites to prioritise investments in renewable energy and microgeneration.

You provide a simple CSV file (format specified below) of site locations (postcodes, grid references or co-ordinates) and we provide you with a complete listing of wind and solar potential for each site, showing how much energy you can generate and how much CO₂ you can save at each location.

The database created is made available online, so you can update and maintain it very easily. You can sort by solar or wind potential, search by criteria of your own, and work with Encraft’s experienced staff over the phone quickly to identify and prioritise the best sites for renewable energy investments.

This tool is ideal for housing associations, private landlords, utilities and other organisations that may have property portfolios of hundreds or thousands of sites.

It is easy to use and much lower cost than hiring consultants or surveyors to visit every site individually.

To buy a secure license for the service costs only £350 + VAT as a set up fee, plus £1 per year per site in your portfolio (discounts available for large numbers of sites - contact us for details). The package also includes free telephone support.

For fastest sign-up, download the CSV file template below, enter all the locations you wish to analyse and then send it to us, together with correct payment and details of your company/organisation, plus details of all users you wish to have access to the system. We'll process the payment, upload your sites and send your login details as soon as possible.

CSV File Format

The file that needs to be supplied to us for import into the system should use the following as a template. Any deviation from this will lead to delays in providing you with login details. If you are editing the template in Microsoft Excel, be sure to re-save it out as a CSV file.

Note: not all location fields need to be filled in - the system will attempt to calculate the location based on the information you supply, but the most accurate results are achieved when using longitude and latitude values.
