Several of our staff are trained in the design methodology underpinning the international Passivhaus standard developed in Germany. Passivhaus is a rigorous and voluntary performance standard for energy use in buildings.

By using Passivhaus design approaches customers obtain buildings that require little or no energy use for heating or cooling. This reduces fuel costs by a factor of 5-10 in most cases (compared to Building regulations, and even the most stretching current UK standards which only reduce fuel costs by a factor of 2 or 3). Buildings designed to Passivhaus standards are also exceptionally comfortable to live in.
