renewables options report

This is a straightforward service to give you full independent and impartial information on which onsite renewable technologies will work for you; what the benefits of different specifications will be; and what you should expect the budget costs of projects to look like.

When you commission a renewable options report from us one of our experienced consultants will visit your site and systematically review your energy demands; existing on site technologies; and the scope for wind, solar, bioenergy, hydropower (if applicable) combined heat and power and different types of heat pump. We will size systems and scope projects at a high level so you can get a realistic independent assessment of potential project costs and benefits in the form of income generation opportunities.

You will receive a comprehensive report summarising the analysis. This is an entry level service for organisations who do not want a full energy audit and analysis of their energy efficiency and management practices, and will focus purely on renewable energy generation opportunities.

Customers who request a renewable options report should be aware that the lowest cost opportunities to reduce carbon emissions normally lie in energy efficiency and demand reduction, which are outside the scope of this report. The service is designed for organisations who have highly complex operations and do not want to incur the cost of having these analysed for energy performance. It also suits companies who are solely interested in investing in renewable projects.

Example projects

Large manufacturing facility

We reviewed wind, solar and biomass CHP options for a large mixed manufacturing facility where onsite energy management had already covered demand reduction comprehensively. The renewable options report identified a significant CHP project as a significant business opportunity for this customer.

Diocesan offices

We carried out a study for the potential of onsite renewable for a 14th century listed building complex used as the main office for a diocese of the Church of England. Careful use of solar technology and biomass systems were identified as viable for the building.
