feasibility studies
We carry out both generic renewable feasibility studies (covering all technology options at a high level, with a view to recommending the best) and specific in depth studies for specific technologies, including wind, biomass, hydropower and solar systems.
All our studies look at the technical options involved in the projects, and quantify the financial and carbon costs and benefits of alternative approaches. We work closely with customers to ensure that your ideas and views fully evaluated.

Example projects
24kW Hydropower scheme
We carried out a detailed feasibility and design study for a 24kW hydropower scheme on the River Avon. This project took place in three stages, progressing to more detail as the customer narrowed down their options based on the results of the study.
Anaerobic digestion for an abbatoir
This three month study looked at multiple options for developing an AD project for a small abbatoir, including collaborative project development opportunities with neighbouring farms and industrial operations.
Medium wind for offices
We carried out a detailed feasibility study for a 330kW wind turbine installation to support a large office complex, including developing grid connection options.
Solar photovoltaic scheme
We carried out the preliminary work to ensure a 6kWp retrofitted solar PV system would be viable and work on the roof of a large national organisation. The study involved careful analysis of shading patterns on the roofspace, to ensure that sufficient unshaded area was available.
