floor insulation

For a wooden-floored building, you can insulate the floors by putting netting between the joists to hold insulation material up against the bottom of the floor (or fixing it directly if there is suitable access). For solid floors the only option is to put material on top or re-lay the floor.
In an uninsulated house, about 15% of the heat escapes through the floor.
A wide variety of materials are available, including natural products such as treated sheep's wool and cellulose fibre (which is recycled and treated paper). Products tend to come in rolls, as granules you can pour, or as boards/batts, which are easy to handle.
Our design tools, site assessments and evaluations from plans will provide cost and carbon payback comparisons for your property between natural, man-made and the cheapest available materials, and for insulating to building regulations or to a higher eco-specification in conjunction with other energy efficiency technologies.
